How to Add Another Channel’s YouTube Video to Yours

Today, I will show you how to take a YouTube video on someone else’s channel and add it to your own. This method works great if you create content on other people’s platforms or shows. Let us teach you how to leverage your business. We’ll walk through how to do it. Let’s get started.

So, if you are out creating video content and doing interviews on other people’s YouTube channels, or you’re doing video podcasts they are posting on their YouTube channels. We can show you how you want to use your guest appearance to grow your business.

We will explain how to take those videos and place them on your YouTube channel so people can view them. You can use these on your website to grow your business. So, we’re going to go through that process right now.

I’m going to guide you through how to do this. Imagine you’re on our BuildIt Media YouTube channel, looking at the homepage. This is typically where someone lands when searching for your business, and they would see these playlists. I’ll explain how to create these different sections managed within your Customization tab inside your YouTube Studio.

Guest Appearance on Builder Funnel

What you will see here are videos we created and posted on our platform, our YouTube channel. These videos were actually created on Builder Funnel’s YouTube channel during interviews I conducted with them as a custom home builder in Ramona, CA. Builder Funnel is a marketing agency for custom home builders and remodelers.

Ultimately, the goal is to have videos like these, originally from another platform, displayed on your channel for your audience. Here’s the method we’ll cover: first, you will find this video online. In my case, I searched for Builder Funnel on YouTube, saw the video, and noticed a clip from the interview.

How to Save a YouTube Video to a Playlist

There are a couple of ways to approach this, but primarily, you would go to the video and look for the ‘Save to Playlist’ option instead of just watching it. That’s the critical step in adding it to your channel.

Once you hit ‘Save to Playlist,’ you’ll be prompted to choose from your existing playlists or create a new one, depending on your preference.

These playlists are part of my YouTube Studio for BuildIt Media. They appear in categories like “marketing for custom home builders and remodeling contractors” and other business growth strategies. The next steps involve adding the video to the selected playlist or creating a new one.

After you’ve added the video to a playlist, the question is how it gets featured on your channel, as we’ve illustrated earlier. This is where your channel dashboard in YouTube Studio becomes crucial. Once in YouTube Studio, you would access the Customization tab, which allows you to arrange your featured sections and playlists, showing how to position your newly added videos strategically for optimal visibility.

In Summary

Adding and featuring videos from other channels is a strategy to enhance your content variety and authority. This method, akin to the practices recommended by marketing experts like Russell Brunson and Chet Holmes, involves targeting and leveraging relationships with key influencers or businesses — the ‘Dream 100’ — to grow your business rapidly by gaining exposure to others’ audiences.

In upcoming discussions, we’ll delve into further leveraging these YouTube videos. You’ll also learn how to embed them on your website and enhance their searchability to maximize your business’s online impact.
